E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

19's on 1 series

will there be any problems with mounting 19x8.5 rims on 235/35 tires paired with H&R race / Eibach sportline spring on a 1-series? will these fit perfectly or are these too big? how about the sensor for the tires?

I would not put 19" wheels on that car. They would fit but that car would not feel good driving and turning. Those things would ruin your breaking capabilities and ruin your handling along with your turning. It would not feel too goo driving that car. It may look good after but that is about it from my point of view. I feel that my 18" tires are a bit on the big side but only went with 18" wheels because the 17" wheels just looked too small. For performance and driving, the 17" wheels are teh best for that car. I drove them all and this is my personal opinion from experience. A friend of mine has 19" wheels on his car and he says he only has them on as he has a wheel shop and does it for promotion. I drove his car and mine drives a lot better with the 18" wheels versus the 19" wheels.

I don't think 19's would be a problem at all, I am thinking of putting 4 front CSL wheels on our 1 series, they are lighter than the stock M-Sport 17' wheels and with non run flats it will not only be more comfortable but will handle alot better too.

19's on a 1-series isn't a big problem. we have a 1-series with 19'' ac-schnitzer wheels, and i thought we would have noticed a big difference between 17'' and 19'', but it wasn't too different actually. ofcourse you do notice a difference by the comfort, but its absolutely worth it!

I have 19" M6 wheels on mine with 235/35 tyres and M sport steering wheels
- No problem at all
- steering is a bit stiffer due to 235/35 tyres and smaller M steering wheel
- Be extra careful when you go over speed hum
