A Chevy LS1 or 6 would have been a better choice. Far cheaper and lighter weight with more hp and tons of affordable aftermarket parts for just about every part of the motor.
You can't say any of that about the M motor.

besides the fact the M3 appears as a sleeper car to anyone on the road, why not just buy an M5 with that kind of money and pride yourself on a reliable 500hp car?

Hehe I meant this car would seem like a sleeper, not the stock BMW M3. Pulling up with this modded M3 with an M5 engine producing 500hp, you could definitely shock some racers in STI's/Evo's/other cars. Sorry for the confusion.
