Will X5 get the 300hp bi-turbo for MY2008?

With the introduction of 535 for 2008, I think X5 3.0si should be replaced by, say, X5 3.0T. Otherwise we'll see the odd scenario - the small and mid size cars get the more powerful engine, but the 7-passenger 5000lb SUV still rides on a weak engine. It doesn't make any sense.

I still think it's a bad idea for BMW to debut the new gen X5 (entry-level and mainstream seller) with a weak engine. Since the bi-turbo went to 3, why couldn't it go to X, which make X5's debut more splashing?

We can only assume it's just a matter of time, since the New 2008 5 Series press release is already talking about offerring the 535xi, which is a good indication that the new X5 will have that engine in maybe a year? Again this is all assumption. However either way, the new X5 looks great and would even be better with that turbo AWD engine in it.
