Mein Auto: A car I want to burn
A couple of questions about buying an X5

Hi guys I'm new to the forum. I've been reading a lot on the X5 but I still need some direct answers/advice.

1. Would it be worth it to buy an 01-03 X5 with 50-80k miles for around $21-25k? I will be financing the vehicle. Most likely the x5 will be from a non-bmw dealer with little warranty. Are there any things I should focus on? I read somewhere that at 60k miles you do a check. Should I then try to find an X5 around 65k miles and up?

Would something like these be a good deal? Even though I'm not buying now but will be buying a car in a month or two I would like to see if im thinking straight.

Do you guys have any suggestions/opinions.

Will I still be able to sell the X5 five years from now for more than $12?

Mein Auto: 2007 X5 4.8
I suggest you check craigs list and get someting with less miles fr the same money. Many X5 owners will be jumping for the new 2007 and will sell their old X5.

I sold mine there in December. 2001 X5 3.0 with 29,000 miles for $23,500 Many other good deals will become avaialble.

And yes... I sold my X5 after 6.5 years and got plenty! See above :o)
