TPM Malfunction

Last week I had a "TPM Malfunction" display appear, accompanied with the nice ding dong tone. following day, when the tires were cold, pressure on all four were within 1 psi of recommendation. The TPM will not reset, so after several unsucessful attempts, a call to my friendly BMW store. They suggested it might be due to the temperature (season) change, but despite attempts to reset, the car goes into service this week.

Has anyone experienced this? I'm not talking about normal TPM alerts which reset.
Thanks, vz

TPM failures

I get that almost three times a week. Fortunately, all I have to do is to stop the car, turn off an engine and re-initialize the TPM module. Make sure that you keep your ignition "ON' to have the "initialize" button enabled.

Hope this helps,

Thanks all. I took my 750i in for service. The TMP was defective, and a new Tire RDC Button was installed, including a module, valve, and trasmittrer RDC (whatever that is). Problem now corrected. Also, my NAV system would not display town/city locations. This was also fixed so towns now appear on the map. This required an update nav with E65 update, version 29.

Vatkens - All in all, whenever I take either of our cars in for service, outstanding attention to our requests. Even though they gave me the 750i back dirty and unwashed, (something I have not experienced before) still Cudos all around.

Just an update to the above - a representative from BMW NA telephone today to follow up on the problem. Thanks for taking the time and trouble for making this happen.
