Extended vs Full Leather.....

Does ANYONE know the difference between these two options?????

I have about 4 DIFFERENT answers from various dealerships, and it is getting very annoying.....

Yes. The extended is $3500 more. A complete waste of money in my view. If you are getting the coupe, you get a slightly nicer headliner and leather on all surfaces, not just seating surfaces. With certain leather colors you have to get the extended (Portland Brown). The full leather (I have the black Merino) is very nice and worthy of a $100K car.

Thank you Mal! Don't you mean that the FULL black Merino is $3500 more, and that you have the EXTENDED black Merino? I drove a silver metallic M6 Coupe with extended black Merino and it was beautiful. I'm not terribly interested in the $$$ upgrade, as it provides leather on the dash (booooooooooo)..... The dealer that let me spin their M6 said that the difference was that the upgrade gave you a higher quality of leather??? I smell cow pie!!!

They are both Corinthian, I mean Merino, leather, so I doubt the quality is better on one than on the other. I believe it is but of course that would be the first time in history with a dealer, right?

I can't tell the difference between an advertiser's full and extended. But the one that is $3500 more than the other one is a ripoff. BMW is about the best manufacturer for matching colors and textures of its interiors - plastics and leathers, etc. So you will not notice the skimping.

Of course, in Australia and much of the world where you can order Individual, you can get purple kangaroo scrotum on the interior. I am sure it is a lot more than $3500 as an option. But unless you want to star in Pimp My Ride I doubt you will find a use for it.

Now ye talkin!!! I have no need for the $3500 upgrade. You have confirmed my worst nightmare - that the dealer could EVER be wrong! I'm just happy that they have NOT earned my business. So sad for those guys that need to put food on their table.........SHARKS!!!! So, I told my auto broker that the schedule has been moved up. I should be styling within 10 days, and may even make it to Bimmerfest in SB!

I wonder if I can still get the kangaroo scrotum embroidered onto my seats!?!?!?!?

BTW, my decision was made over on the M6 Boards, simply due to the fact that the Mercedes service is like dealing with detroit - FINKED!!!
