M3 and Grand Prix seperated at birth?

This makes me sick to even suggest it, but does anyone else thing the M3 bears more than a passing resemblance to the last model of the Pontiac Grand Prix? I know, I know it is heresy, but take a look at the pics below.

Let the flaming of me begin...

Ouch...that is a match, and it makes me sick.
I think the new M3 styling is far too boy racer, I hope the 4dr looks more mature for a $70k car.

I've noticed that Pontiac is really trying to do everything they can to copy BMW without getting into a lawsuit. And that's bad because I HATE PONTIAC.

it really seems the other way around (other than the grille) - it seems Bangle is headed to the Pontiac graduate design school.

The Grand Prix has had this look since 2002. It definitely came first.

I see some simularity . . BUT the bmw looks 10x better come on now. The Pontiac looks like the "twin seperated at birth" except it got hit by a truck and had to have reconstrctive surgery.

Pontiac since the mid-90's has had a BMW influence. They try to cherry-pick low hanging fruit.

GM even admits that, Pontiac is the low cost sporty car brand. If it wasn't for turds like the Grand Am/G6 and Sunfire/G5 they would have more respect. The GTO, Firebird, Bonneville, Grand Prix, Solstice and upcoming G8 aren't too bad for cars costing in the $20's.
