E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

Intro, deposit, ?news?

I shifted my deposit for the new M3 to to a 135i;

I expected next summer, as per announcement from bmwna, but dealer (salesman) tells me production begins in Jan 08 with Mar 08 deliveries??? Claims training for salesman on 1 series is to begin August 07??

My preferred timing would be the 2 year anniversary of the purchase of my present M Coupe, ie, trade-in. May wait for "SMG".

Wonder if the stripe / trim seen in spy photo will be an option? Dosen't appear on official pics.

How long before AC Schnizter configures a dual exhaust mod??

Wow. From a M3 to a 1er. Is it the size you like better, or what?

also, prefer 1'ers styling and cost issues..

new M3 is awesome-- but seems huge and will be pricey. just don't like the looks as much as e46 M3 or new 1'er.

intrigued by 135i size -weight-power- expected handling combo.

I don't track the cars and live in city + conjested suburbs....

300hp , 0-62 time will be plenty quick.
