E82 / E87 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

Arrow Pictures of the 1 series on the 15 freeway in San Diego!!

I was driving home from work today (I just moved from Orange County to San Diego) on the 15 south and I saw this:

Sorry about the quality, they are cellphone pictures... it's the first time I've seen the one in person, and I have to say, even as a hatchback, I like it. The car has Baja plates.

Great pics for a cell phone! I've seen several 1-series with Mexico plates here in Sd but I've never seen THAT kind of Mex. plate....it looks European. The Baja plates I usually are the same size as US plates. Nice post!

I don't have to drive like I am in a race car everyday, It's just knowing that I can

Shrug. They are all over San Diego. Go to Fashion Valley Mall on a weekend and you'll find several driven by the TJ brats. You'll also see tons of VW Lupos.

The 4-door hatchback is the only 1 Series that I would consider. But they won't be bringing the hatch to the states so forget it. Too bad.

I agree, they should bring the hatch to the US.

Thats just the fugly hatch imported from europe. Nothing special, they are as common there as toyotas are here, and I bet the driver was pretty annoyed with all the cameras.
