E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

Mein Auto: 2014 BMW 335i
Just saw the 135i Coupe in person!

Yesterday I was at the BMW Experience training in Fontana and we got to poke around the all new 135i. What a cool car!

I was excited about it although thought some angles were a little funky in photos. It looked even better in person and is a BMW through and through. The interior quality really surprised me as it doesn't seem to be giving up much to the 3-Series besided space. The rear seats are reasonable (I fit fine albeit at a scant 5' 7") and I expect a 5' 10" person could sit in the rear without head or knee problems. Trunk space is good although it was mostly taken up by a car cover that was quickly stuffed inside. Very impressive car inside and out.

The 1 should be a hit.

Could you please let me know what kind of space is under the trunk liner. Can a spare fit or did they botch it like in the e90 and put a little tiny box in there instead of space for a spare? If bmw dosent want to give a spare thats fine, but why eliminate the possibility of tucking a spare away?????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????

Didn't even look. I doubt they left an empty well that large.

Didn't seem cramped at all. Being somewhat short I am not very sensitive to head and leg room but it doesn't seem much smaller. The front cabin size feels similar. The areas that seemed smaller were the rear seats and trunk.

Was it for the training that is 2 days for employees? I have that training in the beginning of august, if it is the same, I will bring my digital camera.

I bet the back seats in the new 1er coupe are bigger than the micro 6 series back seats. My E46 coupe and my toyota tercel is spacious in comparison to the 6er.

Yes - I should have brought mine. It is a blast!

No glaring difference from E90. Seats, stereo controls, and steering wheel seemed nearly identical. That impressed me more than anything else.

I agree. The 6-Series seats are about as useful as the 8-Series. I don't know how they make such big coupes with such tiny and oddly shaped rear seats.

Hehe, good thing I don't carry people in the back seat. The back seat works just fine for setting stuff I don't want to have on the front seats. I do wish that BMW had made the back seats fold down, though.

Doesn't the 6er have an option for fold-down? The 5er does.
