Well, there's one way to find out! Lol.
Don't know, on my 94 325is its 128, not sure if they had raised it to the German limit of 155 by that time or not, I'd guess no.

I was always under the impression that all cars made for the euro market were limited at 250 kph or 155mph. I'm sure Pirate would know this so do not take my word as gospel just yet.

^I believe that is true. But unless there is a "NC" over there that you think he's from, I'm under the impression he's from the East Coast in USA. To which I believe all E36's were limited at 128. But, I'm not sure....

Sorry I had no idea what NC meant. From your comment I assume it is the abreiviation for a state. What state would that be out of curiousity?

That's my assumption. Would assume it's North Carolina.

The european version is limited to 227 kph = 141 mph for manual and 224 kph = 139 mph for automatic shifters

Euro versions are limited to 155mph buddy (my 328i does over 140mph) and the US versions are 128

Is only a software limit of course so a remap will fix all that

Hi, the 323is dosn't have enough power for 155mph, that's why he is limited to 141/139 mph

Not bad for a 318! I've only taken my E30 to 120mph and haven't even passed 100 in my E36 yet--since I'm fresh off of a speeding ticket and can't afford it to go on my record.

Even the 328i dosn't outspeed 147 mph (GPS not spedometer). It's just the M3 who is limited to 155.4mphs

Not in stock trim it doesn't, i agree!

Speedos are simply a rough estimate of your speed...which sucks

Then just hook up a lighter/12v power supply GPS in youre car for the speed readout.
I would do it! But no in Dubai! Theres more speed cameras than cars now !
Everything ranging from overspeed to crossing a red light to even going over the emergency(yellow line) lane. It used to be very very easy to race anything and where her. But not now!
