So, it was the torque for tightening the head bolts that created the weak point. Very screwed up place for a deffect !

Pirate, You should see how many cars we get a week here with over heating problems and busted heads. Everything from tiny four bangers (toyota's nissna's. small engines) to DOHC V-8's 500 SEL Merc's. By the dozens ! Especially in summer. 45+ C' at mid-day and higher ! HG's are a real problem, any engines potential weekpoint. No wonder wy the E39 M5 HG's cost around 3,500 $ here !!!!

A friend of mine blew his M5 engine. Thats how I knew the price. The bad part is. The stealer quoted him a gargantuic 36,000 $ engine replacement !!!
So, he ended up putting a standard 540i engine. Wich worked fine but it just wasn't an M5 anymore.

I almost forgot. After he blew the original engine. He attempted to install the heads and intake manifold+butterflies of the M5 on the 540i engine. Blew that engine up on the first acceleration ! He rolled it out of the garage, all shiny and revving that V-8. Stands in the middle of the street, pumps it really high and lets the clutch go on first! CABOOM! ! ! Bybye heads and pistons !

Ends up with standard 540i engine, with the standard manifol and heads. He wasted more than 10,000$ on that poor car ! But it was in perfect condition, inside and out.

Surprise bitches. No thread is safe from me. j/k

Sorry about the car.. sounds like a string of unfortunate events and you just got a bad apple. I say if its that much of a pain right now, just get rid of it, drive something more reliable until you get a better paying job. You'll have the opportunity later to get the car you want.

Vornado, man! It's not my car. If it was mine, imagine me blowing up 2 engines, one being a genuine MotorSpot V8 !!! I would rather loose an arm !

If it was my car, It would be atleast Supercharged by now. Not SupeJunked !
