On Board Computer Question ??

Does anyone know if the wiring loom for these are already in the car and it's just a simple case of plugging one in or is it a dockyard job ??

All I've got at present is an analogue clock

Car in question is a 1999 E36 323i coupe

I believe there was at least one batch of UK cars that came prewired for an OBC. I first thought this might be wishful thinking until a fellow described and showed us a picture of the connectors he had found behind the middle console.

It seems that to convert from 11 button to 18 button is easy but from analouge to 18 might be a little harder.
Has anyone done that before?

I've converted quite a few E36s to the 18 button on board computer. It is getting easier every time! Last time, it took me about 1 hour. All I needed were the wiring harnesses and computer.

I want an analog clock! That sounds nice. What does it look like?

Its a piece of Sh1te. Not only is it positioned so low you cant read it when driving, but it has no backlight as well.

Then order and replace it

Haha, yes it DOES have a bulb! I'm glad I replaced that bloody clock with the digital clock, that analogue style really ages the interior!
