E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

Juddering when in low speed-help please!

Hi all,

I've got a E30 2.0i 6 cylinder 91', I've got a problem. The car runs ok when the engine is cold, but when it warms up the car starts to judder when you accelerate. It's got new plugs, the old ones were fairly clean. It sounds like the car needs a good run to clear everything out. But it still judders if I do this. Any advice gratefully received.

my e30 use to do the same thing. try checking your fuel filter, your maf and the boot that connects to the maf. for me the culprit was my maf boot. it had cracks throughout and was letting air get in (i know dont ask cuz i swore thats what the function of the maf was for) but when it allows EXTRA air get in or if the boot isnt secure and fitted properly it makes the car choke during acceleration due to the air/fuel mixture messing up. I replaced that and put in a new fuel filter and car runs like a champ now.

Do a compression test.
You will be looking for leaking valve seats.
