cool
when does it arrive?:P i'd like to hear some comments about the build/looks etc =) i've been quoted for £240 for the M-bumper in Estonia (base-black), but i think that's a stupid high price. and there's even no lip.

Octane should be tailored to your advance and particular engine's tolerance to knocking, which depends on temp/humidity/carbon buildup/etc. Different for everyone in the technical, a non-event for most all non-extreme cases.
While the benefits of cross drilled v. vented could be debated ad nauseum, it's the brake fade issue that concerns me. Perhaps it was just my mis-read, but braided lines won't do anything for fade. Pad off-gassing and boiling brake fluid is the cause (as pointed out indirectly). In fact, boiling fluid introducing air into the system will mitigate any brake hose flexing as the air compresses more readily than the fluid (hence, fading brakes). Braided lines are good primarily for eye-candy, although at 10/10ths some folks feel they give better feel due to the lack of expansion resulting in more feedback to the pedal. But it's the boiling that needs to be addressed. Just a newbie's $0.01. Last edited by bdr; 09-18-2007 at 02:28 PM. |

First question is...
Do you have some attachment to the 328i? if not it is MUCH easier just to buy an M3 with the engine already in it ![]() If you want to keep the 328i (which is an AWESOME car) then consider modding that as you can get some great gains from it!!
