air conditioner problem

ok..my air conditioner has one speed, ON. for some reason, it will not switch to any other blower speed except full blast, which is kind of a pain. dad says it might just be a switch, someone else said the whole motor..any ideas?

what exactly do you do in sequence to get it to come on?

do you have two heater knobs in the middle of the fan switch and directional switch?

do you have the slide in the airvent above for hot and cold, brown and blue colours on either side of the vent controller on the right?

thats the way mine is, could be the motor is clogged up and a simple taking out and cleaning may help, check all fuses, and with the heater on each fan speed to see if fan switch ok, if it isn't working on each setting then there may be a switch/fan connection problem.

just my 5 cents sorry not an expert, hope it helps out.

the temperature control works fine, its the blower speed control that isn't functioning properly. i switch the blower control over from 1 to five and the air doesn't come on till turned all the way to five.

blower resistor is faulty.default is high speed.when you buy a new one,you will see one has a different circuit which is high speed.
