how much did you guys pay for your mini's?

I've heard that the MCS's are hard to negotiaite down sticker, and every dealer sells it for MSRP. I was wondering what's a good deal?

For their mini's what? Their MCS's what? Floor mats? Stereo upgrade?

Just wondering if anyone got a good deal on their MINI-- for example, below MSRP, regardless of the option... sounds like MSRP is what every MINI owner paid.

I bought mine out of Global Mini's existing inventory. The car was sitting on the showroom floor with 11 miles on the odometer. Paid MSRP with no prep fees, plus requisite Georgia sales tax. Considering some of the prices I was quoted by dealers, I was satisfied with the deal.

$24,125 + some dealer specific crap (we didn't haggle since this was right off the truck and if we didn't buy for what they wanted someone else was ready to buy it) + financing charges....

My wife spent the first week of March shopping all of the L.A. basin MINI dealers - - and all wanted $2k-$3k over MSRP for their MCS’s. Not quite so high for the non-S. They are selling their allocations and then buying more from east coast dealers for resale here in SoCal.

I paid MSRP + $250 doc fee + tax. I also had to wait for more than a year for my car, so obviously my dealer had no incentive to discount the car.

I paid over MSRP. Well, not really, but I paid a ridiculous price for the bonnet stripes and the checker flag roof (especially when the stripes could have been thrown in at the factory by checking a box) and I paid for the maintenance extension (and floor mats).

I was wondering if anyone had any new info on this? I'm interested in a 2007 Mini. Are people still paying MSRP for it?

well, I paid MSRP + 199 doc fee + mats (+ sales tax of course) for a 07 MCS a couple of months ago. the other dealer in the city wanted a $500 doc fee and a $600 prep fee.

Why are Mini's so short in supply 4 years after its introduction?

Not that I'm looking mind you... ...but the traffic I'm seeing on MINI sites recently seems to indicate most are still paying MSRP-ish for R56s. There are sporadic reports of folks paying over sticker, but mostly this seems to be from so-called "dealer fees" of e.g. $399, $599, etc.

I haven't felt out my local dealer (Downtown MINI, Orlando) because we are still mulling over options on whether to replace my four-ish year old E46...

Depending on the dealer, you ought to be able to pick an '07 off the lot right now for $500 off MSRP. That's what I did with the MCS listed at $27400 which I took delivery of last Friday for $26907 (plus "free" carpeted floor mats).

I only paid $110 in fees (registration/license transfer, titling, documents, messenger, tire tax), so they didn't recoup the $500 through made-up dealer charges. Though they may be getting a cut on my trade-in, even though they said they were selling it to the wholesaler for the exact amount they paid me for it, which no doubt will resell for $3000+ more than I got for it.) Although I got the impression that even without a trade-in, they would've come down $500 on an '07 on their lot. It's Otto's MINI in West Chester, PA, if you're interested in coming 3000 miles to buy your car

A $500 discount on an '08 at this point doesn't seem so likely, so your best deal will probably be on an in-stock '07 if that works for you. In the end, if you question whether you're monetarily getting the best car deal possible, ask yourself whether the sheer joy of owning a brand new MINI is worth the extra money. For me, it is (plus I'm saving $300/year on car insurance). Good luck!

my wife has an 07 Cooper S, paid $300 over invoice. Of course I got a great deal, I don't think that's the norm.

Sounds like interweb urban legend....Why would any dealer want to do that when all the anecdotal evidence on MINI sites still say MSRP or small discount on leftover lot cars?

what, do you work for BMWFS in Ohio? (or a BMW/MINI dealer in Ohio?)

We got our two '07 MCS's well below MSRP as well, but I have an obvious inside connection too.

So as implied earlier, you are not a consumer, you are an employee and/or related to an employee therefore your price paid is irrelevant.
