1971 Bavaria
Does anyone know anything about these cars ? Like personal experience working with them. I caught a good deal on one, and I'm about to start ordering some parts. New belts, new spark wires, new plugs, hoses, tires and whatnot. Its a straight 6 with dual weber carbs, but I simply cannont find much via the google machine on this car, except that it was called the "Bmw New Six"

If you didn't already know, this may be a little help.
BMW has put the Mobile Tradition CD on-line. (That's the parts catalog) http://www.bmw.com/generic/com/en/fa...ion/index.html click on Parts Supply click on Historic Parts Catalog click on the Now Online! link realoem has it on-line too The Bavaria is one of my favorite old BMWs. Never owned one though.

Thanks guys!
After a bit more of vin number investigation and some more reading, Ive determined that my car is: BMW Bavaria 2.8 1971 "New Six" Original color was Sahara. Im bringing back to my place this weekend to start tearing apart the engine. Ill also be taking a plethora of pictures and writing down everything. I also would like to build a website dedicated to working on these old cars since all the current sites are not updated often anymore. |

Do yourself a favor and join the BMW CCA (if you haven't already) and then take advantage of the wealth of information and help available through the club.
