I like the 245 265 setup now that they are on....

Oh my M3 problem in Tyler texas (I mentioned above) turned out to be the coilpaks. Funny thing ...before I purchased this 2003 I looked at a 2002 where the guy had just replaced his coil paks...guess that's the E46 M3's weak link...
What is the "coilpaks"? What does it do and where is it located? Also how much was it to replace?

sayemthree, thanks for the tire advice. Now I just need to wait for a set of rims to appear on the used market :-)

For 265, does anyone have an opinion on 9 vs. 9.5" wheels -- I assume 9.5" rims might rub more in the front, but the tire should be a little happier on the wider rim

Also, what happens to the offset if I get 9.5" wide rims?

you may want to call tire rack - they may be helpful on this.

I don't know, but I have seen them run on stock fronts with just the camber pin pulled.

To fit a set of stock rears up front with 265s, you need to swap the hats also.

I use the 245/275 set up and I like the way the car handles.
