LOOKING @ 325is

hello guys im looking at a 93 325 is automatic with 90k miles the car beeen parked for over 7 months all service docuemnts is available but nit at this time , i tried to jump start the car with regular jumper cables from my 7 all electronics are up running but not the vehicle doesnt wana start ? is that starter or should i hsve the battery charged for long or how can i tell its not batter its starter?? sorry for the long post , any suggestions and help is greatly appreciated

Well, connect the jumper cables and have your car connected to it, running, for a while. Then, with your car running and someone holding the rev's on it a little higher than idle, try to start the 325. If you don't hear anything even trying to turn over, it could very well be your starter. However, there are probably other possibilities as well. Does it have the DME and everything? Is the fuel pump running? Fuel lines clogged? Etc etc. Check all those things out.

If the price is good enough, just buy it anyway, chances are it won't be that pricey to fix, especially if you do the work yourself.

I do hear tec tec tec tec ...... when I try to start it I wad thinking about taking a charger would be better than my car . also she is asking for $5000 with 95K miles . what you think. and thanks for the reply

That sounds kind of high for a non-running car. I bought my '95 325is running w/ 78k miles for 6,500.
