Update - New X3
Hey folks,
As you may remember I was purchasing a 2004 X3. The dealer basically lied to me about the paint job and some other things which came out in the inspection...here is the LINK So I cancelled the deal with him and went for a 2005 and spent a little more money..this is Black 3.0 with SP and PP. here are some pics ![]() ![]() ![]() Comments welcome... PS I am still confused about BT on whether mine has it or is it possible..the other post I found says that all vehicles after Sept '05 have it..I need to check more carefully.. PPS I found the original recipt in the BMW booklet. He paid $60K for the car..I got for 27K..***** half the price in 3 years..I dont think I'll ever buy new again M.

Sorry, but if the person before you paid 60k, they got ripped off. A 2008 FULLY LOADED with every conceivable option is $49,260. That is almost $11,000 shy of your 60k. And it seems as though yours does not even have navigation or comfort seats, etc. I don't think there is a X3 out there for 60k. But congrats! You got a nice car for 27k.

Congrats on a great ride and a cool deal!
I'm confused from the pics though. The wheels and steering wheel show sport package, but did sport seats not come with the package in Canada? Because those don't look like sport seats, with the adjustable thigh support.

I may skip that unless unless I can find a cheaper version. Should I use ICELink for Ipod integration? Quote:
but I think I still got a good deal here in Canada. Thats why I will never buy new here..M.

Sounds like you got a great deal. That is probably what it would cost here. Congrats!

Marven, congrats on your new X3. Which dealer did you get your X3 from?
My lease is up this year as well, and I'm sitting on the fence whether to buy here in TO or from the US forum sponsors. Thanks in advance. |

Congrats on the new ride. Looks good. How many miles? $27K canadian is not a bad price at all for an '05, even if it has slightly high mileage. Average miles would cost around $25-28K US for an '05.

If it's a Canadian spec X3 you purchased, then the BT would only have been available as an option, and is not likely in the vehicle ($1000+ option up here) - the inclusion of BT with premium package in 2005+ was only in the US, not in Canada.
Easiest way to check if you have BT: Hold down the little "talky-face" button on the left side of the steering wheel for a couple of seconds... if you don't hear a beep, you don't have the BT module installed. If your X3 has the premium package, you are pre-wired for it, so a retrofit isn't a total nightmare... but the module itself is a little pricey as you have already discovered. For what it's worth, I have had 2 different phones (Moto's) and 2 different Blackberries, and they've worked just fine with the build in BT. Congrats on the new car! |

. Anyway PM if you are interested. These guys prices are pretty good. The importing of a car to Canada is a real pain and expensive..BMW makes it very difficult with the all fee's and hassles. Otherwise I would have purchased my 330. I do love it...

Yes--go to a bestBuy or Circuit city where they have GPS's on a display board--listen to the voice--its pretty good.

Congrats on the new ride.
I think black is one of the best looking colors for the X3 - just hard to keep clean. |

A little late, but my congrats as well. I was torn about getting a black one as well because, in my opinion, there is nothing better looking than a clean black car. Enjoy!

18" BMW Style 113. They were standard equipment with the sport pkg in 2005, maybe other yrs too.
