Backseat seatbelts

This week I had to try to seat three people on my backseat for the first time. They climbed in and tried to use the seatbelts. There were three seatbelts and only two buckles back there. I was as puzzled as they were. Are we supposed to be able to seat two or three people on the back?

there is a third receptical, but it might have been buried behind the seat backs.

There are 3 seat belts and 3 buckles. Two are on the passenger half, one is to the left of the centre position.

I think what belts your vehicle comes with affects this though. Our '06 325i has the seat belt that you use to attach a baby seat to (?)......like instead of a centre normal belt, it's a belt that has a smaller belt within it that can be taken out. Thus, it only has two buckles. I dunno if this is the ISOFIX or what not.

What I have it's the baby attachment, but no babies to attach.

There's your reason.

I actually want to see if I can get them swapped out for the regular ones.
