Big Brake Question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tremendous amounts of information from this site! I am not sure what I would do with out the advice recieved here, question gentlemen: I have a 2003 745i that needs front and rear brakes, didnt get the maintanace warranty of-course so im looking around, please let me know if these would work from this ebay link and if anyone has purchased these before, of-course I would be paying an independant shop to install them, thanks in advance!!!! Dealer wants about $12OO.

You can get 4 ceramic brake pads from Autozone and sensors from BMW for around $100. My guess is that you probably don't need rotors. Change is pretty straight forward. My son changed mine, but an independant shop will certainly change your brake pads for less than the dealer charges.

So, 4 ceramic pads for $100 each or for all four! Truth is, I only need front rotors but I fiqure i might as well look into everything at the same time. Thanks man!

$100 for all 4, including sensors (from BMW dealer). You might ask Autozone how much rotors cost if you order through them. Good luck.

changing rotors depends on how long you drove on those rotors for, i got ceramic pads in the front , braking performance is not that great comparing to stocks but it keeps the rims cleean like a mirror , but i won't do it again. Indi jobs are not as good as dealer that's just my opinion

Agreed on the performance, metalic pads are a little less expensive, too.

So do you guys think I will be safe with the one offered on that ebay link? Never really done brakes before...............21 inch tires! Now that I am very familiar with!!!!

some body was buying that same kit a few months ago , do search this forum and you might find that member, ask him if he bought them or not and what's it like
