Bluetooth Ipod adapter - could this work with BTUM9000??

If this has been discussed, please do not flame. I have heard of this type of item, but never seen one for sale.

Today I was browsing Crutchfield.com for a bluetooth adapter for my dad's Denali for father's day (as of July 1 in CA, you need to be hands free when on the phone in your car or you can get a ticket). While I didn't find anything for that, I did come acrosss this:

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...AAT100&tp=8395

It is a bluetooth transmitter for iPod. Now, if I used my BTUM9000 and paired my ipod using this device, and hit the "phone" button on my steering wheel, wouldn't the ipod play through the stereo thinking I am on a phone call?? Might be an intersting and inexpensive alternative to the MoBridge unit. Unfortunately, it does not support iPhone.

If they had one in stock, I would order it up and try it out.

Please commence telling me why it will not work and why I am an idiot.

Thanks.

No, I thought about this already and it will not work because the BTUM unit does not support A2DP (stereo) Bluetooth protocol.
