87 528 for $995. Good deal?
Hey all,
I am looking at a 528 for just under a grand. It's brown, but supposedly all it needs is a control arm (yeah right). Seem like a good deal? What else do I need to check? Thanks!

Look under the car very well for any rust[my car rusted on the unibody around the sway bar and upper control arm mounting point, also the driver's side footwell]. Look at all bushings and ball joints for fatigue. Look at the diff and axles for leaks and torn cv boots. Check for vibrations at idle and take off that could be signs of a worn guibo or motor/trans mounts. Um.... so yeah.. thats the main stuff I look for. At that price you can pretty much guess it would need some mechanical attention. I got mine for $400 bucks and the guy had $900 OBO on it. So if you're gonna haggle, start low, who knows what they will take. But that specific price makes me think its at a used car lot. So be careful.
