Mein Auto: 1982 320i
taking off power mirrors

i just bought a pretty sweet 82 320i off of one of my buddies, and the side view mirrors are fadded. i want to take them off to paint them how do i take them off i kno i need to remove the door panel but i dont want to break any thing
please help

You really need plastic pry bars. You can buy them from bavauto.com. But I took off my panels using 2 plastic putty knifes. Push both knifes between the door and the panel and then push a screw driver between them and pry apart.
