X5 and Cayenne side profiles

Found this on the other board, posted by GeeX5 4.4i.

Don't you think that the profiles are too similar? Especially towards the back.

Where's the Cheyenne in that picture? Love the Topaz blue X5...Is that thing running on Alpina wheels?

I just got back from a Porsche Club of America breakfast at Camarillo Airport (we park the Porsches on the tarmac next to the airplanes - pretty cool). There were about 100+ Porsche's there, including two of the new Cayennes for members to pour over.

I like the X5 so much better. It is lighter, nicer inside, and it looks more aggressive.

The Cayenne has a nice engine, and incredible brakes...

Is it true that the PCCA is contemplating NOT letting Cheyenne only owners into the club?

Unlikely, and I've never heard rumors at PCA meetings.

Like the X5 to BMW, the Cayenne will be a 'real' Porsche. You won't see them at track events, however.

There was a Cayenne on PCH on my way home from the TS today. First one I have seen on the road.

X5 all the way! Way more aggressive.

Better copy this profile than go the Infinity FX45 route...or, worse yet, MB G-wagen route

My problem with the Cayenne styling is with the front headlights. I feel they are too sloped. This works well on a 911 or Boxster, but on an SUV (or SAV) they just make it look too jacked-up.

The X5 is very good looking. The Cayenne looks about 50% done.

What is with all the chrome on the Cayenne?

It may be an S. That's supposed to be a visual clue as to what's under the hood. I'm not Porsche, just from what i've read...

That X5 looks so much better than the Cayenne I find. I've seen a few Cayenne's on a local lot, I'm not crazy about the styling, especially the interior.

Pick up the new EVO mag........supposedly the Cayenne Turbo just ran some track in England faster than the E46 M3. (or maybe just as fast as the M3.......it's late and i'm tired) Check it out.
