09 price increase...Ouch

Looks like biggest jump in the BMW line up goes to the X6. Base price will go up on the 35i $3000. and 50i $3200. Plus $350 more for CW. Ouch! might be time to get one now to save some money.

yeah...that one is painful all right...the rest aren't too bad. but losing the Logic 7 sound on the 335i sedans and having a price increase does hurt a bit.

I am sure glad I bought my X6 50i this year and did not wait for the '09!

had mine for about a week now , love it.
Some folks were waiting because 09 would have new iDrive,
I bought car for what's under the hood, don't care about iDrive.

If folks are waiting for the new iDrive they are crazy.

1. All BMW prices are going up 5-10%
2. The new iDrive will be more expensive.
3. The new iDrive will be buggy.
4. It took BMW 8 years to get the bugs worked out of the current iDrive.
5. The new iDrive will have a hard drive and no Nav DVD maps. meaning you get to buy map updates for $200 and then pay BMW to upload them.
6. the new hard drive will have LIMITED space for music.

I don't think it is worth it to be the first to buy electronics from a company who has never been great at electronics. My 2 cents.

The New I-Drive has been in the making for 4 years. A lot of research has gone in to it to try and keep those bugs out. 12g's for music is not bad if you ask me. Of the 80g memory a lot of it will be used for Owners manual stored on it. And I believe your still going to have the Disc that can be downloaded or simply kept in it as the past models are.
