Do both side mirrors adjust when you put in Reverse?

So with my Comfort Access vehicle, when I would put it in reverse I swear both rear view mirrors would adjust to point down as I would back up.

Well, on Friday the dealership calls me and says they have a new key for me (since my BMW logo had fallen off), so I go in to pick up my new key.

Well, they screwed up.

For one, it no longer behaves like a CA key. I have to push the keyfob buttons to lock and unlock it and I have to put the key in to start it. I'm sure I can get that fixed.

However, when I put it in reverse only the right side mirror adjusts. My father in law is telling me on his 550 that's the behavior and thinks I'm mis-remembering that both mirrors adjusted. So now I wonder if I'm crazy!

Do both your mirrors adjust or just the right one?

On our 335xi only the right-hand-side mirror adjusts, and then only if the adjuster switch on the driver's door is not in position to adjust the rhs mirror...

The left hand mirror adjusting on its own is a different matter and is a known issue within the E9X line with the left hand mirror adjusting on its own at unlocking of the car. BMW is unsure if it is hardware or software related. Going in next week for a new mirror motor to see if it solves the problem.

LOL nothing to do with CA. It's a ZPP option.

As to your key, the dealership probably forgot to program it. When they replaced mines for the logo, they didn't program it either. Take the car back and it should take them about 30-mins to take care of it.

Taking my car back tomorrow and they're giving me a loaner, so not a big deal just an invonvenience.

I just couldn't recall if both side mirrors or adjusted or just the one. I guess it was only one.
