help needed,NY NJ people help me to find e93 with this spec

Hey guys I am in the market for new 2008 e93 but can't find the one I want.
All I want is Fully loaded 335i e93 sparkling graphite with brown or red interior. Has anyone seen one like this sitting in a dealership in NY or NJ? Also, if I place order for 2009 335 conv, when will I be able to pick it up from the dealer? middle of october? Also, would you guys purchase or lease 2008 335 conv? Please share your thoughts on this matter and help me find my e93! Thanks.

LOL good one. It's going to be next to impossible to find at this time of the year. You probably should order and wait for the 09. Being on the East Coast, you should get it around mid to late Oct., just in time for winter.

I believe dealers receive allocations on the various models. In other words a particular dealer may be allocated 34 335i Convertibles for the month of July. If you are number 35 you are into the August allocation and will wait an extra 30 days. I purchased a fully (every option except active steeting and active cruise control) last May. I could not find a New York, New Jersey dealer who could get me a car before August or September (I surmise they had sold out their allocations. I contacted Braman Mororcars in Palm Beach Florida. Braman is a very large dealer (large allocation?) and I figured that convertibles were less of a "seasonal" item in Florida so there was probably not as much of a rush to order them inthe spring as their is up North.

I ordered the first week in May and picked up the car July 2nd.

I ordered my 2009 e93 two weeks ago. My broker told me last week it would be here in 8 weeks.

just order one so that it's "your" car. Everything you want, nothing you don't.

I ordered last year on Labor Day, and got it 11/03. There will be many days of perfect convertible weather when you'll feel terrible with the wait, but on those warm winter days, it's all worth it.

Sparkling Graphite has been discontinued for 2009. In their infinite wisdom, BMW replaced Sparkling Graphite with Mojave Metallic (see page 1 of the attached 2009 Ordering Guide).

Wow,I guess that adds fuel to the fire as to whether the new hard drive Nav will show up on the 09's coming out the gate. It was interesting to note that the new Smart Phone or whatever it is called will not show up on 09s until October production even though most of the 09s start their production in September.

First complements on you color preferences

I'm pretty sure I got the last 335i e93 sparkling graphite with brown on the west coast, closed the deal on 7/31.
Out west the pickings on 335i/E93 are getting very limited, before you even start talking colors/options.

For a 2008, you need to find someone (CA, or board sponsor?) with access to the BMW inventory system (DSC?) to do a search for you. My CA did it for me, after I said no to both 335i/E93s they had in stock. I had sent out for quotes and also did my own search where I could, but not all dealers expose there inventory on the web. After I had established a relationship with the CA where she knew the only thing standing in the way of closing the deal was finding the right vehicle. She located it before it hit the West Coast distribution point.

Time is running out......
Could be too late already. For me it was a matter of finding the right CA, not the right car.

Thank you very much guys for the informative replies! Now I realize there is 98% of can't finding this color combo, i am thinking about just settling down with whatever color they got(not really any color though...lol) or order 09's.. by the way, Mojave Metallic? ugh...anyway, bspears, what did you have as options and how much did you pay or above invoice? I know logic is not standard anymore, people, is it worth the money?

P.S. NY NJ people, what's the color combo of any left over e93 in your town's bmw dealers in the lots when you guys drive by them? Would really appreciate it!

Why not find a local dealer and ask them to run a locator to tell you what's available?
