Run a search on Sevas wheels. They fall apart & are very dangerous. Many threads available w/ search on the Sevas issues.

Mein Auto: 2002 M3 Vert
Hi all - I'm new in here, although I've been driving Bimmers for years and have been a BMW CCA member for the better part of this decade. Over the years I've had an E36 M3, a couple E39 sedans (a 528i and a 530i), two X5s (a 4.4i and a 3.0i and I loved them both dearly), an E46 325i sedan and an X3. Currently in the garage are a beautiful Sparkling Graphite/Terra (brown) 330i 6m (wifey's car) and my new (to me) Ti Silver/Cream Beige 750i SWB.

The Seven is a CPO 2006 model with most of the standard option packages. (No Sport though - bummer - although I question just how much sport is really added with the E65/E66 SPP.) I traded my '07 X3 for it, and while the X3 was great 80% of the time, it had, shall we say, "issues" that I felt did not bode well for long-term (i.e. anything over 50k and 4 yrs) ownership. Not only that, but the E83 X3s depreciated in an aggressive manner unlike any other BMW I have ever owned. Maybe everyone knew about the funky '07 tranny logic and that was reflected in the resale value?

I look forward to every time I get to drive this car, and since it's my daily driver, that's every day. I wake up thinking about it. I had a chance to get up to speed on iDrive with my wife's 330i, so that was not an issue for me (although IMO the E90 iDrive is better executed and has a better navigation system...yes, they are different). I love the power this thing makes. It goes down the road like a God's own car, happy to loaf at 75 and just as willing to step it up a notch or three to extra-legal "go directly to jail" speed. It's cool and composed and capable like Michael Jordan in a tuxedo. It has the OEM 18" seven-spoke wheels and Turanzas, so the handling is quite neutral, but IMO, 19" or 20" OEM wheels would definitely tighten things up in the looks department. Since it is my daily driver, however, for now I'm planning to mount a set of Dunlop Winter Sport M3s to get me through the admittedly light winters we have here in WV and do the bling thing in the Spring. I particularly like the 20" OEM wheels that come on the facelift SPP cars. They're simply gorgeous. I know they would be impossible to maintain, but they look great. (High maintenance? Looks great? Probably a lot like dating a supermodel, I'll bet...)

I admittedly had some concerns about all the techno-gee-wizardry, which is what drove my search for a CPO car. I was cross-shopping the MB CLS500/550, but values for the CPO cars were still higher than my budget would allow. Nice cars, but I'm amazed at the space in the backseat of the 750i, even though it is a SWB chassis. The car was not without its collection of issues; it had a power steering column that wouldn't go up or down, a rear window shade that refused to wind into the door, a navigation system that wouldn't navigate (EZ Fix Advice - get a new DVD in the deal to replace the one that looked like it had been used to scrape ice off the windscreen) and a rear entertainment screen that doesn't always go along with your desire to fold and store. It has to think about it. It gets stuck in the up position and won't immediately go down until it's good and ready to go down. (Kinda like my wife.) Everything but the DVD screen is either fixed or on order, though, and I'm cautiously optimistic about the long-term ownership prognosis.

I have some questions about these cars, but I will hit the Search function first to see what collective knowledge is already out there before I start posting. In the past 4-5 years that I have been frequenting this website, I've never ventured in here. Y'all look like a great group of guys who are knowledgeable and passionate about their Magnificent Sevens! I look forward to learning much more about this incredible automobile moving forward.

Oh yeah, looks like I need to change my avatar now...

Thanks for having me - Mike

Was this result of a husband being found in a not so good position by the wife? Looks like a nice neighborhood.

Hi to everybody, Just Picked up a 06 750I CPOed. I love new ride, traded fx35 for it. The only complain is driver's seat sucks, I don't have luxury seating package, and the seats are kind of stiff.

My '05 745i

It's an '05 745i with the sport package. I love this car. The AC seats are badass, use'm all the time.. Best thing I've ever owned... I've had it now for about 5 months. So awesome.

If anybody has any good thoughts on how to swap out the in dash cd changer for an Ipod dock, I'd love to hear you endulge those feelings!

I'm also looking to get a nice throaty hum exhaust system for it but haven't really had much luck finding a good provider yet.. So if'n anyone has a good place in mind, I'd love to hear about it as well!

Hope you like the pics!
