325e guibo?

so i thought this banging motion was my exhaust swinging until i fixed the hangers and put a new exhaust on. now the shake seems to be rotational and stops at 20mph and does it in first or second gear, if you push it a little bit. A buddy of mine thinks it's the guibo and it's all stretched out.

is replacing a guibo a DIY project?
any other ideas on what it might be?

quite typical, 6 bolts and nuts, 3 facing forward towards the front and 3 facing towards the rear...biggest issue is the propeller shaft bearing preloading not to mention the effort to DIY....but yes, the guibo will cause a shuddering upon acceleration, no question. Plus if not replaced it can cause a situation where the entire drive shaft may need replacing due to flange damage. While in there I would suggest examining the propeller shaft bearing as well, may or may not need attention...good luck...cliffmac

it could also be the center support bearing, so if your downthere already, might as well

actually i already replaced the center bearing like 5 weeks ago because there was some serious hum coming from there.
