E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

e30 s52 swap

hey guys i currently own a 2007 gti with a few mods. however due to financial issues, i may have to sell it so i'm considering getting an e30 325is and swapping in an s52 engine and an e36 3 series trans. any idea on how much this will run me if i get it done at a shop or by myself? thanks

if your having money issues .. your not going to afford an e30 s52 swap done at a shop.

well i have a 2007 gti with some mods im tryna sell for 21, then pocket 7k and have 14 as a budget for an e30 (though 10 would be preferable)

so anyone know what it should run? i just found a recently rebuilt s52 for 3k with 4k miles

TNG Automotive in La Crescenta, CA will do the swap, including parts (OBD II intake manifold, wiring harness adapter, engine mounts, E34 oil pan, Spal electric fan and I think the 320i brake booster) for $2K The problem is smog certification. Chris at BMS in Santa Ana, CA will do a smog certified swap for $4K including parts

i know these guys.. they did the white e30 m3 with the euro m3 motor...right.?

im here in sun valley so there about 10 min.. away.

I don't know about that swap but they are really good. They've worked on my car and did a great job

that sounds great if i didn't live 6 hours away haha. anywhere in norcal you know of?
