Ok so i have a 2005 X5 4.4i and it doesnt have heated seats. its prewired and everything is there but no heater thing or whatever its called. so my question is where can i find just that heater thing so i can put it in my seats. i went the the dealer they said they dont sell just the heater, it has to come with the whole seat. can anyone help me out here?
maybe someone is parting out and would like to sell the heater? any help would be greatly appreciated. |

fow oem heated seats you need new leathers wich has heated elements inside.

You can take it to an auto upholstery shop and they can add seat heaters under your leather.

Agreed. You can have them retrofitted and it's fairly painless. I have almost every option on my X5 and heated seats were very important. The dealer sent me to a local upholstry shop and they installed them in the existing sport seats which included an activator switch on the plastic trim on the seat.
Cost me $500 is I remember, warrantied, both front seats, 3 stage heater (bun and lower back) and I cannot see any difference in the seat itself. Even the switch fits in nicely. The challenge is where. Mine were done when I lived in Portland and I do not even remember the name of the shop.
