Looks a little unattractive to me.

Front end is good/aggressive looking, rear end is hideous.

I think those pictures can be really close to the final look. The lines and style is very much like the other newer BMW models. I really like the silver picture, both the side and back looks good to me. The blue front picture not so much, the front itself is ok but on that picture the stance is like a grasshopper and i really don;t like a lot of metal between the tires and the fenders and even less between the start of the fender and
the top of the trunk/end of the rear windows and on that picture it has plenty of both. On the silver picture the wheel hosues are better filled and there is a more horizontal leaner line from front to back. Let's hope it will look more like the silver picture

Guys, I think this car looks hot! I was not too thrilled about the E60 when it first came out and now I love it! I'd like to see it in black. Change is good, that's just me.

+1 for sure. I know some here are slightly less adaptive, but I think this change is HOT and the perfect change to the 5 series.

I think the pictures linked at the beginning of this thread will be closer to the final look than the ones above. The pix above do not have exhaust pipes on both sides and more of the 3-series rear lights. I think BMW will not pass on the popularity of pipes on both sides and I think the rear lights will be more like the new 7-series and Z than the 3-series sedan. Doesn't matter to much though I like both set of pix if they just keep the side line pretty horizontal without to much wedge shape and without a fat chunk of sheet metal between the wheel house and the start of the C-pillar. Regarding the the E-60 it has very muscular angular lines that makes it an absolute dog with wheels smaller than 17-inch. With 18-inchers it gets a balanced with a very powerful and attractive look. With the M5 wheels it's perfect.
