Not bad. The side part looks like too much like a Jaguar XJ. That design on the bottom side needs to be different.

Maybe it will grow on me.

Can someone tell me why BMW does not have mirror turnning light & rear view monitor? They are almost standard in Mercedez

I echo your thoughts and at least feel pleased to say I actually feel happier with my E65. There is NOTHING to make me actually want one of these F01's and there SHOULD BE!!!

I've been to two dealers launches, one was a total joke...non existant...there was a car just no-one to show you it. The other was not exactly well patronised, I suppose in current times not many people are dashing to buy, mind you those who have the cash still might have wanted to get one before the rest of us have any chance to!

Car does strike me as bland bland bland I expected more. BMW have undoubtably tried to go ultra safe this time after the initial reaction to the E65. The 3 and 5 Series have far more originality.....I am dissapointed

Even CAR AND DRIVER thinks the E65 has more luxury interior. The new 7 is faster but why would they take a step back and take some of the luxury's away that set the E65 apart from the others in its class?

I would take my E65 over that anyday. If I was to get a new luxury, I would rather buy the LS460L instead of the new 7.

I signed up for the Neiman Marcus 750Li Individual deal and I had the pleasure this past weekend to test drive a sample in Jersey. I'm not gonna go into much details about the car bells and whistles, but i hav to tell you that you can make this car drive itself...lieterally. In order to achieve this, the car MUST be equipped with Active Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go feature. Whilst driving, hit the ACC button to engage it, now recline the driver and passenger seat all the way back (you can do this ahead of time to give you enough room to move over) and jump over the passenger seat, keeping one hand holding the steering wheel. Now that you are in the passenger seat and ACC is controling the car you can let go of the steering wheel (briefly and as long as there is no curve approching) and watch the car drive itself. When the car infront of you slows down or stop...ACC will reduce the car speed or the Stop & Go feature will stop the car (assuming you don't come to a stop for more than 3 secs. If the stop is greater than 3 secs, hit the ACC button to re-engage) When the car infront of you pickup speeds, ACC will accelerate the car to maintain the distance between you and the car infront. Here is the cool part, when approaching a curve, ACC will slow the car down enough to take the curve...all this while you are sitting in the passenger seat (controlling the steering thru the curve)and the driver seat is empty. WOW! is this AWESOME or what. Although i enjoyed doing this, i don't think it was safe. I hope BMW add some safety feature to the driver seat whereby ACC and Stop & Go will not function when the driver seat is empty. Hope someone else get the chance to enjoy this before BMW changes it.
Have fun

I dont think this is possible because once the seat detects no one sitting it automatically put gear into Park

The back is kind of weak. It looks kind of narrow and tall. Definitely don't like the taillights.

It looks good in profile though. Something about the front from the side reminds me of the Quattroporte. The grills look like the they make the hood line a little high though.

I'm reserving judgment till I see it in person.

The worst part of the car . I saw one at the LA auto show.

THE 7 SERIES KIDNEYS ARE NOW VERTICAL/HORIZONTAL PLASTIC!

It looked terrible. Very bad indeed.

If you have not seen the new 7 series grill head on, go check one out. This is the only time BMW has ever done this and the only time I can recall where it looked so bad. All Press photos are taken off angle to hide this ugly grill mess.

This doesn't sound like a very good idea no matter how much fun it may be.

not a good impression. I went over to the dealership here in Darmstadt, Germany. They had a black on black model sitting in the middle of the room. I would grade the car ok. nothing special. I still believe the S-Class is far superior.... the grill is as stated above - plastic and cheap looking. the chrome rings for the exhaust are not attached to the actual mufflers. the chrome accents are a part of the bumper.....the exhaust pipes are cheap and kinda just hidden in the bumper housing.....not really impressed. At the end of the day, I would rate this effort behind the S Class.....I wonder how it drives. I know the S Class is great....wonder. I had planned to purchase a new vehicle this month, but will push it to the spring....to see if the new 7 grows on me or if the S Class still wins my money...
