I wouldn't want to work in the auto-industry in the UK, or Swindon to be precise - both Mini and Honda in Swindon now closed... one of my friends worked at Honda years ago - we lost contact and I am not sure if he still works there (he was support stuff, not production - but no workers means no ancillary services needed)...

When I moved to Swindon I had an orange Mini 1000 (8 years old and 4,500 miles when I got it) and it's one of those "point and squirt" cars - you just know where you're going and it becomes second nature - round, round, round, off - I could negotiate the roundabout and slip between cars who were dithering trying to work out where they went next! LOVE IT!!!!! Mrs WYB about soiled herself first time on the M.R. also!  Fun times in Swindon - my tiny little town doesn't have a bowling alley - so we went to Swindon to bowl - I was telling her about the Orange Mini I had - and I sold it to my great aunt after I was done with it - in England the plate stays with the car... she asks "like that one...?" - to which I look up - and there she is... WHR 138T - my old mini!! "Nope .... THAT one!" Swindon has more roundabouts than any place I have ever been... they are BRILLIANT!!!!!
