Actually, I was going with the aluminum trim up until the last minute when I opted for the grey poplar. I thought the aluminum trim was actually too much of a contrast, especially in the center by the shifter. It was just too much of a light/white material. The darkness of the trim, with the light "grain" of the grey poplar really makes the interior look warm and rich, and I think is a compliment rather than a contrast to the two-tone interior.

Here's a not-so-good picture that shows how the trim blends with the interior...IMO

I figured it was either or with coral red. Can't remember seeing any other trim with coral interior as a matter of fact. I have gray poplar also.. I think it's the best trim that BMW makes. Get ready for the light swirl marks on that trim that you'll see in the sun. It's inevitable.

I would definitely describe that car as red.

Actually very attractive and unique as well.
