Stronger electricity sypply?
Was just looking at the window sticker on my 09 328iX coupe and noticed an item, "Stronger electricity supply." Anyone know what this refers to? Also, just to mention that the window sticker is probably the most uninformative sticker I have ever seen in a new car I purchased. I noted this when I purchased my car last November and the dealer said that it was a problem for them also in that they did not always get accurate information about the exact features and options a particular vehicle had. Otherwise, pretty happy with my purchase so far.

This actually came up at a recent BMWCCA event that I was at. It refers to the larger alternator used in some models. Perhaps someone else has the specifics of the alternator output differences but basically it can handle more of a load.

If it does refer to the alternator, why would that be an advantage in my particular 328iX?

I think you can figure out all the options on your car by simply giving the dealer your vin #.

I bet it has something to do with the Germans anticipating Americans to use more electricity in the form of say, iPods and chargers and um, whatever else people use thesedays.
