License Plate Question

Instead of having a front plate, could you get a German plate with the same letters/numbers and have that as your front plate instead?

The best answer: depends on your state laws
But what it most likely will turn out: If your state requires front plates you must use THEIR plates - even if yours matches their numbers. If your state does not require front plates then you can do almost whatever you want.

If the state requires a front plate then no you cannot - you have to use their plate.

The word "there" can appear as a pronoun, as in “over there".

"Their" is a possessive pronoun. In a phrase like “Susan and Bill's car,” it could be used to to make a new phrase: “their car.”

”They're” is a contraction of “they are.”
“They are” should always be able to replace “they're.”

Extra credit: It's "I'm looking for an M3" not "I'm looking for a M3".

No.

License plates are property of the government, not the car owner.

I have my front plate in my trunk I don't like having the front plate on my cars. I don't think I've ever had a front plate on any of my cars...Haven't gotten a ticket yet...ALTHOUGH I almost got a ticket for no front plate when the parking meter went straight to 0. They've got radars on those parking meters...

On Sunset Blvd. we were having breakfast at The Griddle and had parked across the street at the parking meter and I was right out there with 1 minute left to feed the meter some more, and the meanie meter maid gave me a ticket for time expiring and almost gave me one for no front plate. But I only ended up getting a citation for the expired time and that was that.

+1 if your state requires front plate, you must use the state plate.
but if your state doesn't care, you could get a 'fake' german plate with the same letters/numbers.
i got a fake plate with wife's nickname on it for her bday -- i think griots sell them, kash

Front plates

F a bunch of front plates.

I live in so cal when we took delivery of our new 3 series wagon , I couldn't stand the thought of screwing into the virgin bumper. The front end is so much cleaner without the plate. This car belongs to my wife, she usually doesn't do anything outside the law, but she didn't want to mess up the front end either.

Chances are you will not get stopped just for the missing front plate (you'd have something else to be stopped for,) but if you do you can just pay the fine, or do a fix-it, it's not a moving violation. My wife got stopped for an missing registration sticker they sited her for tint and no front plate. I took pictures of the front plate secured with double stick, included a note from her dermatologist recommending tint, affixed current sticker, mailed it all in to the court.... $25 fine.

I bought my 5 series used it already had holes in the bumper so I kept the plate on. When I get the curb rash on it fixed the front plate will go.

REALLY? Ours are plain, unless you get a personalized plate.
