Used E60 M5: CPO or not CPO?

I am in market for a used 2006 BMW M5 either a certified preowned or not certified preowned. I have seen them with low mileage from a local BMW dealer ($55,000.00) vs. other dealers or privates for mid forties. What do you think?

If your question is whether you should pay more for a CPO car, ultimately that is up to you but IMO the added protection is worth it. The wild card is the SMG pump which can go at any time.
