To repsol, or not to repsol: tis my question!

Should I make my bike into a Repsol "replica" by replacing the fairings (the real repsol is only a paint scheme, no performance upgrades from stock version)? My bike currently needs the left fairing replaced, and the tail section needs some touch up work (bondo work involved). In all, those two fairings would run me over $300 for parts/paint alone. For $510 I can get a complete Repsol kit off Ebay (the guy has great feedback selling these kits, and I understand holes need to be drilled etc...), and after I bought the kit, I could turn around and sell my old fairings to make back some of my money...

If you like the repsol scheme that much, do it. Its only a difference of about $200 bucks... Thats not bad. You will only be missing the orange rims after that.

I say, just do it.

The Repsol color scheme, imo, looks a bit too feminine.

I'd opt to go old-skool, similar to pro racer Miguel Duhamel's ride:

I'd have to disagree about the feminine comment, I think it's really aggressive looking.. Yellow is a big "no no" for me

More and more the red/white is growing on me, I'll wait a while before buying new fairings..

I guess what I'm trying to say is, given the choice between the two, the Smokin' Joe color scheme has a bit more darker colors.

I've always been a big fan of that shade of yellow, especially when matched with that blue/purple color.

And, I've always been a Duhamel fan.
