Worth the wait for the 2010 3 coupe?

BMW says "September production", so if the MY switch is September 1 I would say this will only be offered on 2010 models. Also I think the plants are closed for much of August for the model change-over.

There is likely new hardware for this system so it wouldn't make sense to re-tool for late 2009's right before the plants close.

When is the 2010 expected to be announced and shown?

I just hope they do some changes to the interior, I think the 3 interior is starting to age. Sure it was good a few years ago but the new 5 GT/7 interior (practically the same) are a huge improvement, and dare I on bmw fan site say the competition has a better interior (a5).

You might dare say that the a5 has a sleeker exterior but I've driven in the new audi interior and it feels cheap. The entire passenger side faces a big nub and the driver's interface is squeezed up in their face. The whole dashboard looks like a loaf of bread rising.

I don't get how most every automotive review of the e9x rags on the cabin. Maybe it's an easy subjective thing to criticize so they can say they were "objective"?
