Are you a BMW CCA Member?

I signed up about two weeks after my car arrived. I have received a welcome letter, but no Roundel as of now. I'm sure it is forthcoming.

I think BMW has some sort of a deal with Liberty Mutual, I've received several offers from them (via BMW or directly) to change from my current insurance company.

So far I've been too lazy, but as soon as my new car is on the boat I'll investigate all possibilities.

Best investment I ever made, I joined BMWCCA last summer bought 7 raffle tickets to the annual raffle and won myself $42,000, can't beat that, I will be a member as long as I own a BMW!

I really wish I would use more of the discounts/perks. Its just that right now I dont have any that really apply to me.

The Magazine seems neat, so I might join up sometime. The car reward is cool too but no plans to buy a car for awhile now.

I have been in cost saving mode with subscriptions and such over the last year or so and that makes it even harder to justify if I am not taking advantage of the club meets/track events.

Once, in 3rd grade, my class went to the 7up factory near our school. Everyone got a can of some drink, and they did a raffle to win a 6 pack of 7-up. I won the 6 pack. One of the girls in my class (who i never liked) kept nagging me for it so I told her I would sell it to her for $1.

She drank the soda, then complained to the teacher. I had to give the dollar back to the girl and had my 5 soda confiscated until my parents came to school to get them (aka the teacher got to drink the soda).

Personally - I think that was crap. I had established my first enterprise and I had "big brother" shut me down for doing business where the consumer enjoyed the goods and then complained. Amazing I didn't become a republican!!!

Never really won anything (other then skill related prizes) since then.

I originally joined BMWCCA for the reward cash back. I ended up buying a BMW prior to being a member for a year so I wasn't eligable but I'll renew my 2 year subscription so that when my lease is up I'll get the cash back next car around

For us Geico was $500 more. Plus, I avoid things with Cokney accents, West Ham, lizards, etc.

Perhaps it's where you live. Here Geico and State Farm and one other (that I don't remember) were more expensive than Liberty.

What sort of discounts do you get at participating dealerships? I'm not talking about stuff like luggage or the other crap they sell, but parts and service on out of warranty repairs.

I get 10-15% discounts at local dealers, depending on the exact part/service. Parts not made by BMW and which don't carry the BMW logo may not get discounted (tires, etc.).

It's worth calling the dealer(s) and asking what and how much they discount.

Not a mwmner yet.

I've been a member for a few months now. I enjoy the magazine and will enjoy the rebate on my next purchase, whenever that takes place. At least here, it also gets you automatically into the local BMW car club as well.

Being a member is not just about the monetary gains and magazine for me. I have gained a boat load of of new friends from our chapter. Three socials a month, tours, chapterfest, autox, DIYs and the non-club events I have been to w/ people I met through the club. The volunteers in our chapter is what makes it go.

I joined a year b4 I purchased my 335. My gf is an associate member. It is SWEET.

Great benefits and I love the Roundel!

As others have mentioned, Roundel is worth the cost of membership and there are several local events/HPDEs that make it even more beneficial.....

Just got my $500 check on my new 328. Worth every penny in membership fees.
