Turn Signal not working on a 528e 1986
I just bought a 1986 528e BMW and the fuse box was kind of messed up, I got most of it fixed but I cannot get the turn signals to work and I am not entirely sure which things control them.
My hazard lights do work which hopefully means the wiring is fine so I think its just a fuse or relay problem, any help would be fantastic. Thanks! |

Probably the hazard light switch. Make sure it is completely disengaged.

Thanks for the reply but I messed with the hazard button and I am pretty sure it was disengaged and the turn signals still don't work.
Any replies are appreciated! |

Check the continuity of the turn signal switch. You will need to remove the steering wheel to access 2 screws for the covers and there are 2 more in the lower cover. You'll need a 22-mm socket and then turn the key to release the steering wheel. The turn signal relay is also under the column so it would be a good time to replace it and take it out of the equation.
