Z4 Bluetooth and iPhone: for Phone and Music?

Can anyone tell me if the bluetooth that the 2007 Z4 3.0i comes with can be paired for both phone calls and music with an iPhone? I.e., I understand I can use BT to make phone calls, can I also use it to play music (rather than having to install a separate aux or an ipod kit for music)?

Only the latest iPhone firmware version 3.0 even includes the A2DP BlueTooth profile to allow this. That being said, the BlueTooth in the E85/E86 isn't aware of A2DP, either, and never will be...So you're stuck using the AUX port under your dash.

Eve if you could use BT to push music, would it sound good? If the sound of the phone is any indication- I wouldn't want a BT connection for my tunes...

Yes, it would, as long as you're in range.

But so currently, you cannot push BT to play music, is that correct?

For the AUX in the dash, is there any way you can run the controls from the CD player in the dash or has to be from the iphone itself?

Correct. Nothing OEM, anyway.

No, no way to control the phone from the dash/wheel, unless you pick up something like the DICE or IntraVee units.

Is there any bluetooth device to attach to aux so using iPhone A2DP you can send music to the stereo in the car without having to hook up the aux cable to the iPhone itself?
