NE1 read the 07/09 MT comparo of the Luxo Titans?
Anyone read this? It was painful to read as a BMW fan. F01 finished a distant third to the A8L (second place) and the S550 (first place). Truthfully, it was the first negative review I've read on the F01; most have been very positive to this point. Granted, the A8L and S-class are worthy competitors. I would have imagined the 750Li ending up a very close second place to the S-class, knowing how much grief BMW's techological advances have taken in the past from the American motor press. However, in most cases the driving experience has ultimately prevailed. Sadly, not this time.
One item they singled out was the throttle response, which they clearly despised. Knowing how bad I hated the #$@%!& throttle response in my '07 X3 (which could not be fixed, BTW, which led to me trading it for the 750i...not a bad thing, all things considered), I can appreciate that it could be an issue. The itchy throttle pedal/delayed response malady is a known problem with the 3.0L N52 w/ the 6-speed GM AT box on AWD cars. I cannot understand why BMW cannot or will not resolve this. The fact that this characteristic has jumped to the twin-turbo V8 in the F01 is troubling. Any other views or comments?

this isnt the first 'bad' review of the current 7. fifth gear summed up by saying 'perhaps the previous generation is the better car'. and this was a VIDEO review.
