air conditioning control buttons falling off
We have an early 2003 X5 and there are a couple that have come off and Ive tried to put them back in but they fit loosely. Can I replace individual buttons instead of ordering a whole set of them (realoem lists them as one part for around $120). Does anyone know of a good place to buy these because I know the dealer is going to charge through the roof?

BMW does not sell the individual buttons. Your only recourse is to find someone who bought the whole thing but didn't need them all. I saw it for sale on eBay once where some guy only needed one button. Personally, if your car is a 2003, you are better off just replacing them all at the same time. You never know when the next one will break. Your other alternative is to purchase that panel from an auto wrecker. You'll probably get faded used ones, but if you don't care, it may be cheap.
