Stop lamp socket part #
WhAtTuP!
Anyone know the p/n for the stop lamp socket for a 528e? The contacts on mine are corroded, tried to sand it but still won't work. What's the best place to get them? Thanks!

The only place to get them new is the dealer or Ebay. You can also sourced them used in good shape. You probably have leaking tail light gaskets that are letting water come into your trunk. Check for rust around the tail lights and your spare tire well as it might collect there. These are like $15 to 18 each and very easy to change, just remove the 5 or 6 nuts holding the tail lights down, remove the old crappy gasket, install new ones and re-install. also, check your trunk gasket as they tend to start leaking at the top corners. You can check part numbers in RealOEM.com but lock for the "archive" section since our cars are 'that old'! LOL
Here is the parts diagram: ![]() Number 2 is part number 63211369306, price per RealOEM is $9.31 Number 3 is part number 63211369270, price per RealOEM is $9.31 Remember that if you are a BMW CCA member most dealers will give at least a 10% discount on parts. If they know you maybe more! Good Luck!
