Warming up X6
Hi Guys
I am new to this forum, and I have a simple question. In the manual of my X6, it is clearly stated that one should not let the vehicle warm up while in the idle position. I.e. start and move immediately. Am I to assume that every time I start up the vehicle, I should start moving? This seems to be weird. Usually, we allow the engine to warm up couple of minutes before moving. Doesn't this affect the thermostat and the engine? Thanks in advance for your help. Charlie |

These engins need starting and driving, not warming up, just get in and go.
It's designed for this purpose. |

Don't bounce it off the rev limiter as soon as you get in it, but warming up an engine is generally a thing of the past.

My warmup is as long as it takes to buckle up and open garage door with the remote
